Okay Yuwie Stop Forcing The Issue!-Venting and Brainstorming!!!

I love using Yuwie, and it is my first and most used social networking website I use, but Yuwie is starting to cross the line. I don't know if you have noticed, my guess, you have. The sudden push of ads, every time I log in, or visit my profile, it's getting to a point it is annoying me.

Yes I understand that advertising income is how some of the lucky Yuwie members get paid, but now, the new push is really starting to get on my nerves, and so much so, people who I have finally talked into to join, turn their heads, and become frustrated with the forced advertising, so much so they won't sign up.

The common response from them when I send them to my profile is, "What the hell is up with all the pop unders, and other ads?" I have tried to explain to them why this is, but in the end, they don't like the forcefulness of the advertising, and want nothing to do with it.

When I use a social website, I expect a friendly atmosphere, where I can network, meet new people, and participate into interesting discussions with them, not be bombarded by advertising, and in my own personal opinion, the force advertising has got to in some relative way, devalue the other parts of advertising.

Honestly, quality advertising firms who may have an interest in buying quality advertising spots on yuwie, may be turned off by the excessive amount of forced advertising that Yuwie had, knowing that their ad, may not produce as well as a site, with less traffic, but with fewer advertising, and more high quality locations, I am sure that Yuwie could produce higher value to advertisers, plus create High CPM per advertising locations.

I don't mind the side banners, the banners or links mixed in the clubs, and the advertising that are were they are suppose to be, in prime advertising locations. I do mind being delayed from getting to where I want to go, or performing a action, such as a friend add. I don't mind an occasional pop under, not a pop under on almost every single profile I view or every time I log in. To me, it annoys me, and I simply will close it out, not willing to actually look at what the advertising is about. I have no interest in advertising if it is blatantly forced into my face, it doesn't work, and I'm pretty sure that their are many other people that feel the exact same way.

Sure it may work for some people, who want to force the issue as well, but if Yuwie wants to become more than it is, the whole value of how it forces advertising onto a visitors or members plate, well has to stop.

An increase in long term advertising will come with the increase of quality traffic, not by forcing advertising into our faces, and forcing some members out the door.

There needs to be a clean up, Yuwie needs to create quality advertising spots, to which will increase in value as the traffic increases. As a member, even though I do not get paid by Yuwie as of yet, I wouldn't mind seeing the RSR drop for the present being, As long as I am confident that Yuwie is providing a unique social atmosphere, and in the process, working to keep our referrals interested, plus increase the value of a Yuwie advertising advert. The high dream RSR that everyone is dreaming about, will come someday, but for now, I want the total interest and keeping power of Yuwie to grow.

As active Yuwie member, since last November, I have enjoyed Yuwie, once I took the time to understand it. I have over 31 members on my front line, and only totaling 28 members combined in my 2nd and 3rd levels, my tree stops there, I'm disappointed of course, but I understand, that it is up to me to fill my first level with as many active individuals I can and help or hope my referrals do the same. Well with 59 was 60 (some how one dropped off) I am only averaging about 50 total page views total for them all combined....That really stinks, but hey that is the way life goes right, or is there something else wrong?

I'm not sure, but I know that people have busy lives, but I do understand that there has to be a major reason for a busy individual to use their time on a website, Yuwie gives them hope, but with this hope, it soon fades to frustrastion and the reality that is. Most people will only earn pennies from Yuwie, while only a few will ever reap the rewards from Yuwie.

Yuwie has to step up and create value for the user. This can be done by developing user features that other social websites don't have, or ever thought about it. Don't forget simple addition on Yuwie, such as a live chat lounge would be a simple and inexpensive option that will give the user the ability to communicate with other yuwie individuals on a real time, setting, even adding web cams to spice up the joint may be a thought. I have always felt the addition of a live chat lounge would really give Yuwie a boost, since some people live for chat rooms, and really, sometimes I even get bored, why not give the Yuwie member base  a place to commune live with each other, not the radio chat on now-live, that's grand and fun at times and I applause the Yuwie radio schedule, fact I love it, but let's get that participation, on Yuwie, and Yuwie only.

I love the fact that Yuwie has been working on ways to get garage bands involved, and hope everything works well. I do understand how costly and frustrating this can be to maintain and develop new additions. Now I don't know if Yuwie management or the Y guy has noticed or not, my guess he probably has, but Yuwie is filled with A LOT of talented individuals. Yuwie would be smart to cash in on their talents, allow members to provide you the things you need to grow...This could be software development, graphic development, or gaming development, hey a gaming division to Yuwie, with live video came or card competitions for unreferred  members, MAY BE AN IDEA.....I'm sure there is someone in the Yuwie member base who can build these games for you, you can reward them by cash, or simple giving them referrals....You need ask for it, see your response, you may be surprised...(ever hear of Pogo) Why not add a feature to this nature?

Yuwie needs more, and more quickly.....

The more quality user options, the better the Yuwie network will work, and the more active users will join, and actively use their Yuwie pages.

And the high dollar advertising income will follow....

We need to get their attention, get action, and keep them active, with out the fall out that occurs when members become bored, or simply lose a dream of getting a check from Yuwie.

Increasing members income methods and the total Yuwie income is something I think should be honestly looked in.

Has Yuwie ever though about a feature that is being used elsewhere, the paid to do survey feature? As I have seen from the forced plate of advertising income, some of these programs could be beneficial to members and the Yuwie system if there is a reward or a value on completing this feature that is not revenue splitting into the whole Yuwie revenue system. Why not add a paid to view offers, register, or survey database to Yuwie.

Example:

You will earn $5.00 to complete this trial offer for blockbuster.

Or earn .50 to register and confirm your email with this company...

You get the point. How would this income come to be? Well, I am an active member of many paid to do survey websites. These websites have a database with each available survey, offer, sign up on a page, with the available earnings per completion. These companies will get paid by a certain company when a referred member  completes the steps for a lead or a sale. In return the survey company gives the user a portion of this.

A perfect example how this works is to try it for yourself by signing up for free and participating in a few to see the results....You can join this free survey club by clicking here...

What will this do, well, give the user or member, and instant boost in income, plus Yuwie will earn a large chunk, sounds like a win/win situation to me, how about you? Now It should be considered, that you should also receive a small percentage of the income produced from your first two levels of referrals completion. Why only 2?well any lower than that and the total Yuwie profits will be reduced to only a small amount, we want Yuwie to increase profits, but at the same time we want to add value and staying power to our users. Allowing members to earn off of 2 levels, will increase their monthly income, and that is the whole purpose of this, giving people the ability to start receiving checks quicker, larger, and faster, well would go along way in the community. This option should not be a requirement though, all participation should be optional.

I think this should be looked into, there are companies doing this, why not be the first social network to add this feature?

Another option to fill the void of the forced advertising tactic that is being played is to follow the PTC model. Maybe adding a section to this site that Yuwie members and advertisers can use to purchase credits have their website viewed by members to view their advertisement for 30 or 40 seconds. Pay each member .05cents or a penny per visit. Some would consider this feature a not successful traffic outlet, but some top producing PTC will beg to differ, they are including some advertisers are getting conversion from this way of advertising, granted the conversion rate may be low, but usually, the price per thousand views is usually a bargain, and make two, three, or even one good sale usually will cover the advertising income.

Example:

Let's say Johnny is selling his information product and his total net profit per sale (after credit card process, and other expenses) is $24. So Johnny pays $19.99 for 1000 views of this PTC option. Johnny waits and finds out his site has been live and he has reached his 1000 views. Johnny also notices he made only 2 sales from the traffic, it may seem disappointing at first but as he looks at it, he made $48 in net profits from the two sales. Now he takes away the $19.99 he paid for the advertising, he made a net profit of $28.01 so he did Gain a profit from the method. He begins to run another 1000 views, but this time he produces 10 sales and a net profit minus the $19.99 of $220.01 cents, again in profit. The Conversion is low, but he is making a profit, which is what you want in any type of paid advertising. Johnny is now excited, to he purchased another 1000, but this time he doesn't rack up a new sale, he has lost the $19.99. Johnny is not discouraged, he begins a new campaign but this time he purchases 10,000 views from the company for about 200 dollars. Johnny waits out is advertising completion. He checks his result and it shows he had made 100 sales out of 10,000 views, that is a total net profit minus the 200 dollars of advertising fees, of $2,200...He is happy and continues to buy the advertising package until he feels that the market for his book is gone....(this is an example, I'm not saying that this will happen with every advertiser, because it will depend on the catch page and the product.)

Usually with this type of advertising, it is so inexpensive with one sale, you can usually cover the advertising cost, so the risk of using this form of advertising may not be as risky as you think.

So let's look into it, again members should get paid down to their first level, any farther down would be impossible. But anyway, member gets instant earnings for viewing the ad, they may also find something they like and buy, and Yuwie is getting a chunk, guess what win/win.....

If you are interested in joining a free PTC program to see how it is done than join this one by clicking here

Another feature that might be interesting is adding a talent classified addition, a place for people to post special talents or services they have that someone may need  such as ghost writing projects, graphic design, consulting, and so on. Member get the benefits by cashing in on their talent when they have be approached by a paying member to complete a special task. Maybe a place where individuals can post things to sell, or trade, or even a home business section....Have a special location for featured ads, to which members can buy for a certain price, thus increasing the monthly income....(Make the home business section a pay to post section) this will reduce the flooding of affiliate links or spamming.

I just had to get this off of my chest and hope that Yuwie continues to develop this website into something special...

I am not going to protest Yuwie or have no intent to leave Yuwie, I love Yuwie, I just had some things buried in me that I needed to express somewhere....Sorry if this offend anyone, it wasn't the attention of this blog...

I may just start a club about this subject...keep an eye out....

Well I did, it's called Yuwie Brainstorming....
