Peace, love and communication -- the Dalai Lama
I have a wonderful new referral, Jah B InI, who has brought this to my attention and asked that I help to publicise it....

This involves the Craziness now going on in China with the Tibetan unrest. China is now considering the use of force rather than negotiation in this matter.

As China is going to host the next Olympics, the use of force would dissolve the bonds with the rest of the world in a matter of moments.

Can you help spread this petition so that President Hu might know the viewpoint of the world at large.

Here is the link.
The Dalai Lama is asking us all to sign a petition to help promote peace and dialogue...
I believe that this is one on the absolute beauties of yuwie... that we are an international community, unconstrained by political borders, and that we are also (largely) a community dedicated to peaceful communication... Let's use our yuwie power to spread a message of love and peace and communication....

Please, if you see any value in those ideals, sign the petition, and spread the message amongst your own friends by either re-posting this blog, or writing your own (I'm sure much better) one....

The people of Tibet thank you, I am sure, as do I...

Sandra,
I will sign. I don't know if it will do any good. China has never cared about what the rest of the world thought of them. If they do use force in Tibet, they should hold the Olympics somewhere else. Take care!

Sincerely,
George

for people who are dubious about this site's legitimacy i suggest you read annie lennox's blogs on her my space site and use the links there . I am sure she and her advisers will have done their homework and made sure the site is authentic. And if you are still cynical and don't believe it is annie lennox - you can see her on youtube.

I signed. Thanks for posting the link. I'm really not happy with the brand of kneejerk jackboot totalitarianism all-too-often displayed by the Chinese government towards any sign of dissent against their warped regime. They don't deserve to host the Olympics - but then of course, Nazi Germany didn't either, nor the former USSR. I only hope it brings about the kind of changes that occurred in the USSR after the Moscow games, without having to go through what Europe endured shortly after the Berlin games. Free Tibet!

Hi Sandra,

I signed the petition just now. You are right, the phone number is not required.

Thanks for blogging about Tibet.

I hate to be suspicious, but I find it strange that the site asks for a phone number. My personal experience is that if I give out a phone number on the internet to people who really have no need to call me I sometimes get strange charges for $20 or so showing up on my phone bill.

I signed it but China isn't the Britsh in india who decided after some brutal years to get out rather than try to quell the population through violence. China doesn't mind the violence and wuldn;t mind killing everyone in Tibet...
